Important Notice
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before placing your order.
1. Liability Limitations
Liability for any reason (including but not limited to lost or damaged items) is limited to the lesser of ten (10) times the cleaning cost or the depreciated value of the item as determined by the International Fair Claims Guide published by the International Fabricare Institute (IFI). Once the item has been compensated, the said item(s) remains the property of The Laundry Valet.
Note: Should the Compensation be arranged via Credit, the validity period will be no more than 30 working days. Compensated items will be required to be returned to us before any compensation is paid.
2. Individual Item Liability
The Laundry Valet liability shall be limited to the terms contained herein and shall only apply to the individual item which has been damaged or lost. In the event that items are priced in one lump sum or are part of a set (such as curtains) and should any damage occur which is the fault of The Laundry Valet, the liability shall be based upon ten (10) times the apportioned cleaning cost for that individual item (part of a set) shall be decided by the management of The Laundry Valet.

3. Personal Items Responsibility
Kindly remove valuable, personal or ornamental items attached to or left on the garment. The Laundry Valet is not responsible for the loss of item(s) not removed prior to cleaning. Any items lost or damaged due to unsuitability for washes will not be liable as well.
4. Pre-existing Defects
The Laundry Valet shall not be liable for items with a defect in the design, material, dyes or construction, have residual stains or have accessories or ornaments which don't withstand cleaning. Any damage or stains discovered before cleaning are to be taken as having occurred before collection. It is the responsibility of customers to inform us of any existing defects, we will do our best to rectify any issues for them at best.
5. Care Label Requirements
The Laundry Valet shall not be liable for garments (ie. tailored/ custom wear clothings) without any care label affixed to the garment. Your items will be cleaned according to the care label, unless specified by you. If there are no care labels, your item will be cleaned according to our experience.
6. Load Wash Service Limitations
The Laundry Valet shall not be liable for loss or damage due to load wash services. We are also not liable for missing/ damaged items that are not removed from clothes in load washes. (For load wash orders, we based on the assumption that customer has checked the items are suitable for machine washes before placing their laundry into our laundry bags for collection). Our load wash service is mainly to provide to washing of clothing to ensure they are cleaned and dry, folded and packed neatly into plastic or laundry nets before placing into our laundry bags for transportation back to our customers. We do not entertain requests to ensure clothings returned as "good as new" or "like new".
7. Collection Verification
Please check upon collection on the number and condition of items. If you are not present to give us or receive your items, your appointed receiver will be deemed as acceptance of our terms and conditions. The Laundry Valet will not be liable for claims relating to any missing items after collection. (Signature and photo evidence are required during pickup and delivery to ensure proper handover and accountability. Customer will have access to view the evidence picture and signature in their email)
8. Claims Timeframe
Any claims or irregularities with respect to the condition of your garment must be made within (24) hours from the time the garment/item is collected.
9. Stain Removal Policy
The Laundry Valet will do our utmost to remove stains, however there is no guarantee that every stain can be removed on all fabrics due to many factors such as time and/or weather exposure, stained from oil, pigments, blood etc. Stain removal prices will vary according to the time and effort required to remove the stain. We will not waive charges due to our inability to remove.
10. Machine Washable Items
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure only machine washable items are placed into the wash bag for wash and fold/ iron service. The Laundry Valet will attempt to note down any damage or stains relating to your items, however they are not to be deemed as conclusive or final, as our operations' staff will do a final check before cleaning. Hence, we make no warranty for the completeness of these descriptions.
11. Pickup Preparation
Please prepare your laundry items in disposable bags before/ during your scheduled pickup timing. Any no-show or reschedule trip caused will result in an additional $20/ trip transportation charge.
12. Deposit Requirements
For orders above $200, a deposit of 50% is required to be made upon pickup. The remaining 50% or full payment must be made 1 day before cleaning items are returned. All other orders will require a $40 deposit. Any late or no payment will result in further delay or non-returning of laundry items.
13. Personal Items Policy
The Laundry Valet shall not be liable for any loss of bags or personal belongings such as personal bags, hangers, dust covers, laundry nets etc (non-washable) sent together with laundry items. No replacement or monetary compensation will be made for these items. Our company brand laundry bags or disposable bags will be provided for your laundry upon pickup.
14. Turnaround Times
Turnaround time for dry cleaning is 5 working days (excluding pickup day). Turnaround time for normal washes is 2 working days. (Turnaround time may be extended up to 10 working days during peak travel season)
15. Force Majeure
While we strive our best to provide exceptional quality and security, such as having CCTVs and other measures. However, unforeseen circumstances and other acts of God circumstances, such as, but not limited to, floods, riots, war, and traffic accidents, may arise. By signing up and registering your details with us, you share this understanding with us, and together, we can make this a great experience for everyone.
16. Ironing Limitations
Items requested for Iron only may be subjected to pre-wash to loosen fabric before ironing so that clothing can be well pressed before returning back to customer at no extra cost. Customers who request for Ironing and fold, do take note that as much as we put in best effort to iron/ press the clothings, there will be lines and possible wrinkles due to folding, The Laundry Valet and our team are not liable for such workmanship compensation.
17. Discretion Policy
Prices/policies may be changed without informing the public from time to time at our discretionary. We will try our best to maintain our prices, only in view with economic changes such as inflation, political changes and any other unforseen circumstances where changes will be implemented.
18. Unsatisfactory Work Policy
"Unsatisfactory" is subjective and shall not be the reason of non-payment as effort and process has been put in place for cleaning of the garment. Re-work can be arranged at an extra cost of $20/ trip for transportation.
19. Credit Refund Policy
Additional credits topped up by the laundry valet will not be refunded in any case. Only actual amount paid by customer shall be refunded.
